Tomorrow night you go before the American people and the world to tell them of your decision to send more troops into Afghanistan, it is reported. The great thing about the future is we can shape it by our choices and actions. I hope this report proves to be innacurate.
There is much written about this decision on both sides. But none of that matters. The only thing that matters is what you think and do. The buck does stop with you. Not only will you be judged by your actions, but you will also signal the course of our nation, and confirm or deny the hopes of every American who supported and supports you. Let me be clear what the public thinks is totally unimportant. We will shift our opinions many times depending on how we favor the winds. But you promised to deliver three things we all want: 1) Change in our politics; 2) Change in how our government serves its citizens; and 3) Change in our position on the world stage. In each of these areas the American presence in Afghanistan represents the status quo you promised to shake-up.
You have said many times change will not come easy. And you have called on us to help. Now it's your turn to make what will be the boldest and most impactful of all your moves. Pull American troops out and get down to the business of dealing with the complex issues from a new and different perspective. Yeah, I know I have no idea of the complexities and details involved. But what I and many do know is that the decision to withdraw, and the course that comes with it are required to start down a new path, a path of change. The time has come for peace to become an American process and course of action, not just an empty aim.
Do the right thing Mr. President!
So if you're against
So if you're against "ObamaCare" do not fret. Thank the insurance industry and their senators and congressman for finding a way to keep things as they are, and growing their custo mcp testkinge by forcing the rest of us who could not afford their coverage to buy what will surely be plans that collect billions in premiums while providing as little coverage as possible. And if you think Obama is a socialist, stop. He is in fact a pure capitalist. And he is helping to further the free market agenda in new ways, including new hi-tech investment in Israel where Intel will be making its next-generation chips. I will ask all you self-proclaimed conservatives to resist crying and whining about the fact you find it increasingly harder to afford your standard of living. I suggest you consider moving to Israel, China or one of the p mcsaaces where American goods are now made thanks to your support for free trade. And please don't cry as you realize that that passionate vote against anything with "reform" attached to it did not mean what you thought it meant. And don't whine when you realize that while there was truth in the benefits of the free market ccnp dumpsmer basl rhetoric you so emotionally supported, they just were not benefits meant for you.
